Biography

Dr. Zvi Almog is a recognized documentary film-maker and a leading authority in the documentation of Jewish and Israeli history. He is best known for the five-part television documentary "Israel: A Nation is Born" narrated by the late Israeli ambassador the Honorable Abba Eban.

Dr. Almog is a graduate of the famous Dropsie College in Philadelphia. He counts among his teachers the world renowned Professors Ben Zion Netanyahu and the late Solomon Zeitlin and Israel Efros.

Born August 31, 1935 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Almog died suddenly on September 30, 2009 in Westport, CT., age 74.
